Childcare

Children are welcome to sit with families, however we do offer a nursery during the worship service. All nursery workers and children’s teachers have undergone a background check for your children’s safety.

Dress Code

We do not have one. Please feel free to come as you are. You will find people wearing everything from flip flops and shorts to suits and ties at First Baptist Church.  It is a wonderful thing that you can wear whatever you want, and you will not be judged.  Do you like to dress up? Well then do it. Are you running late? Well, put your hair up in a ponytail and forget the makeup, we are a welcoming church and will welcome you however you want to dress.

Who are we?

We are a group of young couples with children and retirees. We are teenagers and the middle aged. We are blue collar workers and professionals. We are married, single, divorced and widowed. We are everybody. Don’t worry about “fitting in,” you will be welcomed here regardless of who or what you are.

What to expect

We are very casual and welcoming. The service is pretty casual as well. We will sing a few songs of praise. Once a month we have a special Children’s Sermon. The Praise team will lead us in beautiful songs of praise which will lead us into the message by Pastor John from scripture. We will be done around 11:30, but usually hang out and visit for a while. We would love to visit with you.

Music

We sing mostly upbeat contemporary Christian music, but we love to throw in an old favorite hymn for time to time. Our Praise Teams are highly energetic and engaging. Raise your hands in praise, we don’t mind. If listening quietly is more you style, that is OK too.
