Outdoor Worship Service
Outdoor Worship Service!
Sunday, August 16th – 10:15 AM
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple
courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad
and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the
people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were
being saved.” (Acts 2:46-47)
One of the coolest things about Fairfield, besides Fairfield First
Baptist Church, is our Central Park. Put them together and you’ve got
an extra-special experience.
On Sunday, August 16th, we’re going to re-enact the gatherings
of the early church by gathering outside, too, at Central Park. It
would, also, be a chance for us to let our light shine for the community
The Coronavirus contagion has kept us apart for several
months. We re-opened for worship in June, and some of us, who are
less susceptible to serious effects of Covid-19 have felt able to come
and worship in the building. Still, there are many who would love to
be able to worship with the rest of the church family, but they need to
be more careful to avoid possible exposure. Being outside and having
plenty of spacing available will, hopefully, allow more of our church
family to enjoy worshipping together, again.
But to enable everybody to feel comfortable we just want to
take care to give each other the space we need. Let’s be together but
not too close. Some of us want to just get back to normal closeness.
If that’s you, we’ll have a green sticker so you know who else feels the
same way. For those who should be avoiding close contact, we’ll
have red heart stickers for you to use. (And we’ve got yellow stickers
for anyone in between.)
So, bring a lawn chair or a blanket for your family to sit on.
But most importantly, bring a willing heart, ready to connect itself with
the heart of the great Father. And let’s let our light shine so our
community will see and glorify our Father in heaven!!
